We are looking for participants who are inquisitive, creative, responsible, open-minded, and enthusiastic about cross-cultural exchange. No prior travel or English-teaching experience is required, but a background or interest in both is a plus.

Participants should be eager to teach, but also easygoing and capable of adjusting to changing circumstances or evolving expectations. Ability to go with the flow and understand and appreciate that not everything will go as planned is essential to life in Bosnia.

In addition to four teachers, we are looking for one filmographer who will create a Bosnia Project/ABC Project documentary and work with each class to create a culminating film pertinent to what they have learned in class.

All five selected participants will be enrolled in a 3-credit GOVT course in the spring prior to their departure. The five students selected to participate in the Bosnia Project will be prompted to register for the course in November 2017.

Timeline: The application for the summer of 2018  is now live! The deadline for the application is October 20th at 5pm. Interviews will follow shortly and we expect to have participants selected by the first week of November 2017.

Please download the Bosnia Project Application and email the completed document to us. For more information, view our current informational Powerpoint here: WM ABC Project Info Slideshow. We will be having Bosnia Project information sessions on October 3rd-5th at 7 pm in Tyler 219 for those who are interested in learning more about the Project and application process and having their questions answered. Also come out to Blaze Pizza in Newtown to support the ABC Project on October 5th from 5-9 and show them the flyer. Please find more information here.
