The W&M Bosnia Project and the Muscarelle Museum of Art are currently hosting “Balkans since 1995” exhibit, an ongoing display in the Sadler Center at William and Mary presenting pictures taken by Bosnia Project participants as well as members of the William and Mary community since the creation of the project in 1998. Pictures evoke not only the beauty of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the wider region, but also show how the region has evolved as it moves away from the devastation of the Yugoslav Wars.
Our team will be hosting the opening gala on Wednesday, December 4th from 6:30pm – 7:30pm in Tidewater B (Sadler Center). Come hear Professor Pickering of the Government Department give a speech on the project, followed by a chance to meet project members new and old, enjoy refreshments and beverage, and bid on the beautiful images!
Funds will go towards covering expenses for the volunteers on the summer 2014 William and Mary Bosnia Project team so that they can continue to live, learn, and teach with the Sarajevo community.
Auction tables will also be up from 5:00pm – 6:30pm in the Sadler Center December 2nd – December 6th.
We thank the Muscarelle Museum of Art for its generous support.
If you are interested in bidding on these images but cannot make the event, please contact Lucas LeBlanc at firstname.lastname@example.org by December 6th for more information!
